July things you may have missed

Hey, Old Sports
DTIYS Winners!
We had a nice little turn out for the Gatsby DTIYS challenge, I was loving the redraws and interpretations as they came in^ ^ Here are the winners and all the entries!

So warm and cute with his little pet bird 🥹

I’m so in love with this drawing of Nick heh

This concept mirroring the “Fabrication of Gatsby” absolutely amazing!

So happy to see all this art💛💛
I look forward to hosting another DTIYS, perhaps it can become an end of the year thing 🤔
August Postcards and Stickers
For the transition of July to August, I went with a theme of reinvention and confidence. For the postcard- “The you that is possible”- I wanted to play with the concept of manifesting a higher version yourself through elevating your look (a concept I’m adopting myself) the twist here playing with miniatures ( my new gimmick ) as Gatsby walks through his own jewelry box to get to the version of himself he’s desperate to become.

For the stickers, I let my patrons choose the theme and they wanted Art Deco Deities! Copper and gold figureheads of old with faces of grace and confidence.

While the Patreon sign up period has ended, I have put up additional stock for sale on my shop! I realize that I don’t always promote as promptly and with as far of a reach as I’d like on the final week for sign ups, so for those who miss it or can’t join at the time I hope this solution helps.
I also have restock of my Cowboy Carter Beyoncé prints- the one that sold out at MomoCon haha- on my shop as well as 11×17 inch prints. Despite the tour ending (and it was a great show!!) I’m sure there are other CC era super fans like myself that would still enjoy basking in it til Act III

Cowboy Carter
Speaking of Cowboys..
Update from my manufacturer on the CUNTRY crop tops: they’re finishing the embroidery up so it shouldn’t be too long til I have some photos to share and can model the sample for preorders!

I’ve also been mulling over the idea of making cotton handkerchiefs, on account of how hot it is and that they’d go well with the cowboy theme. I’m reusing the original scarf design but limiting the color palette. So far I’ve settled on this design. Since they won’t be as extensive to order as the tops, I’ll work on having them available in time for the preorder.

In the meantime, I still have some CUNTRY Cowboy tops available! Mostly in Small with a handful of Medium and Large. I think I’ll work a restock in around the crop top preorders, so we have a whole “one last hoorah” collection going before I switch to my new collection. (Hint 🐅🍊)

Art you may have missed
“I still hoped for blue birds on our wedding day” was a somber illustration of Daisy and Tom on their wedding day. Daisy having the thought of that one guy who use to flutter around her.

“In his blue gardens” a scene of Gatsby and Nick in Gatsby’s famed blue garden. Really some night scene practice with color and lighting. People seemed to enjoy it 💛so I have made it available for print as well. Currently there’s a 15% off sale on Inprnt!

A peek at vampires
I got to illustrate a few book spots for Hari Conner’s upcoming book Night at the Vampire Castle! It’s a choose your own romance story with 3 main romancable vampires. I got the pleasure of drawing for Casimir😏💛

Look at him…a god. My type fr. Babe why aren’t you real🫠

Heh Hari made a promo just now WOOW reuse, reduce, recycle ♻️
Their book is currently on preorder and comes out next month! I already got my own comped copy and am excited to share more when I can!
I believe that’s it from me for now. Thanks again for reading and supporting what I do; it's always appreciated.
Til then, stay rad, Old Sport,
